I Am Speechless

With all due respect to the memories of Tom Snyder and Ingmar Bergman, Moon In The Gutter will be paying tribute to one of my true heroes and biggest inspirations for the rest of the week.

The great Michelangelo Antonioni has died.

I do look forward to your tribute to such a great legend who has passed away. I am so saddened by all the losses we have had this past few days. The world is a little less bright since these great men have passed on.

What a terrible few days - I have many films to rewatch in tribute.

This has been an incredibly sad two days in the film world. So many greats have been called home this year and it is only halfway over...thanks for both your thoughts, I hope my tributes are interesting and worthwhile...

Thanks for the note about Antonioni's passing Jeremy. I've been trying to sort out my feelings and write something about how his films deeply touched me, but it's not easy.

The last few days have been rather sad. On the bright side, the recent artists we've lost all lived long lives and created a lot of amazing work which should be celebrated.

Cheers to them all!

Thanks Kimberly,
I agree, these men did live long lives and I hope my tributes to them come across as celebrations...it is a sad time but also a great time to remember some truly important work.
I look forward to reading your thoughts if you choose to share them...thanks again
