The Return Of Bonnie And Clyde

Arthur Penn's massively influential and brilliant BONNIE AND CLYDE is finally going to get some proper treatment on DVD in late March of 08 with the release of a new Double Disc Special Edition, and a Limited Edition Collectors box.
Penn's masterpiece has only been available in a rather shoddy bare bones DVD since the earliest days of the format, so this news is most welcome. The new collection will include a re-mastered print, a new documentary along with some other goodies.
Unfortunately there doesn't appear that there will be an audio commentary, or any archival materials, but otherwise this set looks pretty amazing. Visit the above link for more details. Pictured here are the cover art for both versions. This is near the top of my most anticipated lists if they could just get a real special edition out of Penn's equally astounding NIGHT MOVES.

I loved this movie growing up, and I still love it to this day. It has one of the coolest endings ever. It also was one of the first appearances I saw of one of my favorite actors Gene Hackman. What am amazing film this is. Faye Dunaway was gorgeous here.
