Vintage Fred Williamson Interview

I anxiously check Roger Ebert's site each Friday to find out what vintage article or interview he might post, as lately he has been sharing some real winners. This week's interview hails from from 1983 and it is with none other than the Hammer himself, Mr. Fred Williamson. It's a terrific article on a guy who doesn't get enough credit as an actor, producer, writer and director and I appreciate Ebert sharing it.

I will most certainly be checking this out. You know I'm a big Fred Williamson fan. I don't think he gets the credit and attention he deserves for all his work in front and behind the camera.

I'm glad to see an article that points out just how many hats this remarkable man has worn in his career...I'm glad Ebert dug it out and re-published it.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've always dug Williamson and loved that Robert Rodriguez and QT gave him another shot at the mainstream with FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. I love his speech halfway thru the film.

That 'Nam' speech is the stuff of legend...thanks to R.R and Q.T. for remembering how always vital and incredible he is...
