With fire in it's heart.. fire as chaos, as destroyer, as catalyst, as a new beginning.. the only natural element among the concrete-steel and corruption and degradation.. an auteur superhero movie.. i'll calling for the oscars.

"an auteur superhero movie"

Sounds like you are as impressed as I am...a truly bold and challenging film with a performance by Heath that already feels legendary.

I won't get a chance to see it until next weekend. My bro and his wife saw it. They both loved it. He couldn't rave enough about it. I can't wait.

Greatly look forward to seeing this and am aiming for the 30th July as the date we get to see it. I expect great things and doubt I'll be disappointed.

Loved it. It had its small, nagging problems, but on the whole it's a drastic improvement on the already-respectable Batman Begins. It's also probably the first time that someone has done justice to an Alan Moore comic on the big screen -- The Killing Joke looms large over this film, and especially over Ledger's performance.

I saw this film on opening day. Wow. Incredible. I daresay the best comic book adaptation yet. For once, all of the hype surrounding this film is right on the money. And don't even get me started on Heath Ledger's performance... chilling, funny, charismatic.

Imagine if Michael Mann decided to direct a Batman film and that's what this film feels and looks like... esp. the opening bank heist. Incredible stuff.

Thanks Keith,
I think you'll be blown away. Let me know what you think.

Thanks Ed,
I loved it as well and it's great to hear your thoughts.

Thanks Steve,
Feel free to get excited about it. The hype is justified.

Yea J.D. how about that opening bank heist? Jesus, it was like seeing HEAT for the first time again. Ledger is just phenomenal...so freaking amazing.

hey.. was any surprised seeing William Fichtner at the bank heist.. i mean.. that was a what-the-hell-is-about-to-go-down moment..

Yea, Fichtner's appearance was a real treat. He's a great and sadly underused character actor, I loved him in Go. His presence gave that scene, already stunning, just another touch of gravitas.

I really dig William Fichtner too. I was so bummed when that cool SF show INVASION got canceled. He was excellent in it. His inclusion at the beginning of TDK made me wonder if that was Nolan's obvious shout-out to Mann and HEAT as he has stated in interviews that the film was a definitely influence.

Fichtner was quite memorable in GO. I also remember being particularly effective in ALBINO ALLIGATOR too.
