The Natalie Wood Collection Finally Announced

Natalie Wood

A release date of 02-03-09 has finally been given for the long awaited Natalie Wood Collection. While I am thrilled that Sex and the Single Girl and Inside Daisy Clover are finally getting DVD releases, the lack of any real extra material on this set is extremely frustrating. Here are the specs:

Splendor in the Grass (1961)
Special Features:
Beep Prepared (1961 WB cartoon)
Theatrical trailer

Gypsy (1962)
Special Features:
The Pied Piper of Guadalupe (1961 WB cartoon)
Together Wherever We Go (deleted musical)
You’ll Never Get Away From Me (deleted musical)
Theatrical trailer

Sex and the Single Girl (1964)
Special Features:
Nelly's Folly (1961WB cartoon)
Theatrical trailer

Inside Daisy Clover (1965)
Special Features:
Theatrical trailer

Bombers B-52 (1957)
Special Features:
Boyhood Dayz (1957 WB cartoon)
Theatrical trailer

Cash McCall (1960)
Special Features:
Theatrical trailer
High Note (1961 WB cartoon)

Brainstorm (1983)
Special Features:
Theatrical trailer

One odd thing is that Brainstorm has recently been announced for a special edition release, so why wouldn't it be included here? I'll be getting the set but I am really bummed about the lack of extras, as I know Warner's has a lot in their vaults on these films.

I'd hate to sound ignorant, but what's with all the cartoons?

That's not arrogant at all Paul. I thought the same thing. The more I think about, this really is a bit of a slap in the face for fans who have been waiting years for this set...especially when we know there are goodies they could be putting on there. Natalie deserves better...
Thanks for the comments.

This is really disappointing, esp. after the extras-packed box set of all of James Deans' films. What a missed opportunity.
