James Bond in the Sixties: A New Poll

sean Pictures, Images and Photos

To celebrate cinema's most legendary and longest running series, today's new poll focuses on James Bond. I thought it would be fitting, since I am going to be posting more and more on vintage films, to focus solely on Bond in the sixties including the original love it or hate it Casino Royale from 67. So vote for your favorites and we'll tally things up in a week or so.

The first Bond film I saw (on t.v. as a young lad) was "Casino Royale" (1967) so I was under the assumption that that was the way they all were, and it took a while to disabuse me of the fact that the others didn't measure up to the hijinx of that.

I think it gave me an added appreciation of the Moore cycle, silly and tongue in cheek.

Thanks Roger,
That's an interesting perspective. I actually really like the original Casino Royale. It is quite insane and the soundtrack is among my favorites...by the way, I have added a link to your blog, which looks terrific. Thanks again.

Even James Bond could do with a little help from Mr. T. I mean, who couldn’t?

James Bond, Fast cars, Hot women, Evil bad guys, Martinis, and Mr. T…

Hey Jeremy. I love this poll. You know I'm a huge Bond fan. I love the original Casino Royale myself. As far as Bond films, Connery is still the man to me. My favorite is From Russia With Love. I do really love OHMSS. I thought it was a great film. Lazenby did a fine job with it.
