Gorgeous. It must've been quite a trick finding only captures with no actual nudity. I love this film, it's quite possibly the most erotic one I've ever seen. There's a real tenderness and beauty to its depiction of sexuality that is missing from so many other sexually explicit films.

Thanks Ed,
I absolutely love this film...I find it to be the one of the most haunting and moving works I have seen in a very long time.
I appreciate the comments as I was hoping this would bring some in.
Have you seen Medem's LOVERS ON THE ARCTIC CIRCLE? It proceeded this one and it is equally spellbinding. Thanks again...

Lovers of the Arctic Circle is quite good, but not to me on the same level as Medem's follow-up. I couldn't really say why, only that it doesn't hit me with the same devastating emotional force. Then again, I've seen Lucia many, many times and only watched Medem's first feature once, so maybe I should give it another shot one of these days.

Thanks Ed,
LUCIA is absolutely my favorite but give LOVERS another look sometime if you can as it improves with repeated viewings.
thanks again...

Great shots. Simply beautiful. I finally saw this film for the first time not long ago. I loved it. It's definitely one of the best films I've seen in a long time.

Thanks Keith,
Glad you got to see it and loved it. Thanks for the comments.

Count me as another fan of both Lucia and Lovers (with a bit of an edge from me to Lovers - I loved all the circular references in the film). Those screen shots make me want to watch both right now...

I'll throw out a word of warning about Medem's latest though. I saw "Chaotic Ana" at last year's Toronto Film Festival and it was terrible. The potential of the film (similarly tackling circular storylines and repeated experiences as its lead character Ana begins having flashbacks of her past lives - all of whom died violently at the age of 22) dissipates early on and continues into disarray with an ending sequence I almost walked out on (it was a juvenile political statement).

I'd be curious if any other Medem fans see it...

Thanks Bob,
I appreciate the nice words and am sorry to hear about Medem's newest...I have been curious about it and your report doesn't sound promising. Thanks again for the comments...it's been nice hearing from other fans of this special film.
