Great shots from an absolute class act. I'll click on that link tomorrow when I have more time.

I got to a see a print of this a few months back. I knew nothing about the film except that I would be getting free student admission. It was very enjoyable.

Thanks guys,
I absolutely adore this film and was sorry this post didn't get more reactions, so I really appreciate both of yours. Thanks!

I love it when you can go into a film cold and be completely knocked for a loop by it. It's what happened to me with this where a friend burnt me a copy and I popped it in not knowing much more than the basic plot. I was, and am, in love with this movie. I want to live in it.

Thanks Jessica for the great story...I know what you mean. Why can't the world be this colorful and wonderfully alive?

I haven't seen this movie since the early 90s. I didn't know until you and I started talking on Facebook that this by the same director as Betty Blue, another film I haven't seen since the 90s. It's amazing how much time and how many films have come through my life since then. I think I still have the old clamshell vhs for this movie! I should see if I can dig it up.

Off topic, but one of my all time favorite foreign films... well, my all time favorite is a movie called Twist and Shout. Have you seen it? I haven't watched it in so long. I kind of miss foreign movies. I fell off the wagon when I discovered B horror. I never looked back, but sometimes I wish I had.

Thanks Amanda!
I haven't seen Twist and Shout but I will try and track a copy down...also, it's so nice to hear good words for both Diva and Betty Blue (a film I will be featuring as well in the future).
