Paul Thomas Anderson Tribute Month: Images from There Will Be Blood

"I don't want to talk about those things. I see the worst in people. I don't need to look past seeing them to get all I need. I've built my hatreds up over the years, little by little...I can't keep doing this on my own with these... people."

For me, this might be THE best film of the decade (well, with competition from two or three other films).

Excellent selection of screencaps, as always.

Yeah, this was an incredible film to be sure with an absolutely blistering performance by Daniel Day Lewis. Amazing!

Thanks Chuck,
Awseome to hear that you a fellow PTA lover. You gotta let me know, what are the two or three other films you mentioned in comp. with this one?

Thanks JD,
Yea, if Day-Lewis wasn't already considered one of the truly great actors, then this sealed the deal. His "I'm finished!" final moment here has already become one of my all-time favorite closing lines and scenes...

Brilliant film. It's so nice to have a director around that you can't really wait to see his films once they hit the theatre. Thanks PTA.

yep.. this is a great film.I watched it for the first time on a plane trip&last night I finally saw it again on dvd.

PTA makes great films about people.the film was hard hitting but not sentimental as many period films can be.Lewis gave us rock solid show of genius.

I read that even the PTA& crew dressed in clothing style from that era.Is this true?

I have seen all of PTA´s films & Isay this one was one of his most daring films.
Punchdrunk Love? also a good film?I thought so.

I´m Finished

Great photos. I still have not seen this film. I'm ashamed to say that. I need to watch it.

I agree with everything that's been said. Daniel Day-Lewis has been one of my favorite actors for years. To me his performances in "In The Name Of The Father" and "There Will Be Blood" are simply mesmerising. Both him and Paul Thomas Anderson are geniuses. Put them toghether and something like this movie comes up. Brilliant!
