I have to agree... this movie really blew me away. Awesome script, awesome acting, really awesome score, and the closing shot was fantastic. Long live Walther Matthau.
Haven't seen the remake yet, and watched this original during the hubbub of the remake, and now I really don't care whether I ever see the remake... because this is one great movie.

The remake was terrible, imo, and I am usually pretty forgiving on them. I wouldn't bother with it. Thanks for commenting!
