Whoever knew that a piece of discarded gum could be so damn moving. Shot in 1999 by Sofia and Roman Coppola on the set of The Virgin Suicides, "Playground Love" is one of the oddest and most haunting music videos ever made. Operating as a tribute to the remarkable French band Air, who composed and performed this haunting single, and a behind the scenes look at the making of The Virgin Suicides "Playground Love" is an incredibly innovative and original short film. Including shot for the video appearances by Kirsten Dunst, Josh Hartnett and even Sofia herself, "Playground Love" can be found on the original DVD edition of The Virgin Suicides and it is just the kind of mesmerizing promotional piece the film and soundtrack album deserved upon their release.
