Brody and Seigner on the Set of Argento's Giallo

gialloclapper
Lots of pics have been popping up online from the set of the upcoming Giallo. This one, that I found at Dario Argento Fans, is my favorite so far and I thought I would share it here. I know everyone is excited about the prospect of Adrien Brody in an Argento film but I must admit I more eager to see what Emmanuelle Seigner, a striking and wonderful actress who has finally begun to get her due in the past couple of years, brings to the film.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Giallo. It will be very interesting to watch these two leads and I have high hopes for the film after Argento's MOT which I see as a return to form for him.

Thanks Steve,
I'm excited as well although I hated to hear that Alan Jones was being kept off the set due to Brody not wanting any press. Jones has been able to document the making of every Argento film since the mid eighties so it is a shame that he won't be able to do the same on this one...

Didn't realise Alan had been kept off the set. It's a real surprise that Argento allowed this to happen as I know that Alan has provided mountains of publicity for Argento and his love and enthusiasm for Italian Horror has shone through whenever I've spoke to him.Fingers crossed he'll soon be allowed to cover this film with his unique brand of expertise.

Have you seen MOTHER OF TEARS Jeremy??

I hope that you'll have the chance to catch a screening of MOT on the US big screen...here in France the film is a direct to dvd,I can't believe this!!
The french dvd and blu-ray will be available in mid-September.

I'm really curious to see Brody and Seigner together in GIALLO...Brody is a fine actor,IMO!

I am so psyched about this film. I love both of the leads. I can't wait to see them two together.

Wow, Thanks so much LooseFocus for the very nice words. I have a lot of fun here and work hard at it so it means everything to get a comment like yours. Hope you keep finding things in the future to enjoy and that you will take a look at my past posts (over 800 and counting)...thanks again!

Thanks again Steve...head over to the Dark Dreams main page and you can read a post by Jones about being kept off the set...really disappointing stuff and a shame as his work on Argento is the best. He's also a hell of a nice guy as I was fortunate enough to meet him once briefly years ago.

Thanks Guillaume,
Nice to hear from you...I have still yet to see MOTHER OF TEARS as it hasn't had any theatrical showings near me and I haven't had the money to get the import disc...I have also resisted the urge to download for fear of getting an inferior copy. Right now it looks like I will be waiting for the US DVD which should be out later this year...expect a write up and thanks for your continuing support...oh, and I agree about Brody, one of my favorite modern actors. Have you seen LOVE THE HARD WAY? He's incredible in that...

Thanks Keith...total agreement. I feel like this is a great chance for Argento's work to be seen by a whole new audience...I hope he is in the best of form.

Cheers for the shout, Jeremy. Just checked out Alan's news on the excellent Dark Dreams. Brody is an excellent actor for sure. It's just a shame that he appears to feel he's bigger than the production.
