It's such a shame that Herzog's latest role as a kitch-for-hire member of pop culture has nearly eclipsed his non-Kinski narrative features. This one especially is indredible!
What a great, overpowering film. And I'm really glad you included an image of the dancing chicken, one of the best endings imaginable.

This is probably my favorite Herzog film, although I of course love his work with Kinski. His upcoming reworking of Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant (a film I admire more than any of Herzog's pictures) has left me extremely disillusioned with the man, but I will always love his past works.
