Absolute top-drawer, Jeremy. This would be a dream! Great performances, memorable dialogue and looks ravishing. Such a misunderstood and maligned film. Lucky enough to catch this on the big screen at London's NFT several years back, and the experience is still with me.

Thanks so much Steve,
That's incredible that you got to see this on the big screen. So glad to hear you admire the film as much as I do.

Thanks, Jeremy. I'd also add that Mansfield's score is simply gorgeous. I guess you have read the late Steven Bach's book? My own personal favourite making of book.

I agree with the others.at the time when this film was first released, there was a media grudge against Cimino.I remember reading reviews more about Cimino´s budget overruns than about the film itself.in other words;"playahatin´"

One of the great films of the decade. Ive never been able to see any cut but the chopped version released by a hack studio. On the big screen even that was a continuous revelation. This pkg. would be a dream. Hope it happens someday.

This would indeed be a dream. Possibly my ultimate dream Criterion. I would just hope that they would include Robin Wood's essay "Heaven's Gate Reopened."
