Unknown said...: I'm a huge fan of this film (obviously) so it is nice to see you giving it a visual shout-out. I particularly love the shot of the Golden Gate Bridge enshrouded in fog. Such a great visual. This is an incredible film and one that only improves over time. Rain said...: I really liked the movie a lot too, since it's about two things I'm fascinated with: the Zodiac Killer and San Francisco, my hometown.

I like that you included the shot of the Northpoint Theater (they shot the actual exterior of the theater, although it isn't a theater anymore). It was one of my favorite theaters in the city. A huge single screen moviehouse where I saw "Poltergeist" about 8 times one summer.

Ned Merrill said...: Love the vintage Paramount logo that Fincher used! I wish that the Warner logo was a more period appropriate one. I'm speaking, of course, of the circular Warner Communcations logo. From what I understand, Fincher did have quite a time just getting the approval to use them. On a similar note, David Gordon Green used the early 80s UA logo for his underrated UNDERTOW.

I was blown away by ZODIAC and it was a pleasant surprise considering I am not a fan of FIGHT CLUB although I did quite enjoy THE GAME, SEVEN, and to a lesser extent PANIC ROOM. This is definitely one to revisit again and again. Probably my favorite film from 2007.; October 9, 2008 at 2:26 PM

I only saw this a few months back and I just loved it.

It could have easily become another dull 'procedure' film but Fincher handled all the false leads and misinformation with ease, it made for an entertaining and brilliant film.; October 9, 2008 at 5:12 PM
