Russ! Russ! He's our man! If he can't do it, nobody can!

I LOVE Russ Meyer and this selection. Nice choice. I should really see this again now that it has that DVD.

One idle evening I found myself at a UMASS film club double-feature of Kubrick's Lolita and Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. To my astonishment I was more impressed by the latter. I was quite blown away by Meyer's machine-gun editing style, expecting as I did something much more primitive. It was a beneficial evening in more ways than one, since I won a raffle for a book of free passes that covered much of my moviegoing that summer. Your post brings back fond memories.

I actually screamed out loud when Z-Man revealed how much of a Superwoman he really was. The film is great it's like a transmission from a bizzaro candy colored upside down alternate universe.

This is a crazy film and it is incredible that a major Hollywood studio actually bankrolled it! Nice stills, Jeremy.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I think this film is absolutely extraordinary. I wish more of Meyer's films were treated as well on disc.

I dig, man, you're on an ego trip!

This is one of my favorites, I absolutely adore it. You're right that more Russ Meyer needs to be on DVD. Another fave of mine, "Mudhoney", is out in the UK but not in the US.
