Tina Aumont, 1968

I recently came across these two gorgeous shots of Tina Aumont around the time she filmed Bertolucci's Partner and I wanted to share them here...

Nice pictures!

I saw Partner just recently, as it turns out. It's Bertolucci trying to do 1967-68 Godard, and not really living up to his model. It's a pretty lousy, uneven movie in general, but man is Aumont hypnotizing in her brief appearances in it. That shot with the eyes — if you've seen the film you know what I mean — is utterly unforgettable.

Never seen PARTNER. Just wanted to point out that Aumont looks a lot like Eva Green of Bertolucci's THE DREAMERS in that second still.

I haven't seen Partner.

The first time saw Tina Aumont (or at least became aware of her) was in the schlocky Italian slasher film Torso (1973) where I thought she had the most amazing face. Unsurprisingly, she'd worked with Fellini; a man with a great eye for extraordinary faces.

The best performance I've seen from her is in Philippe Garrel's silent study of Jean Seberg, Les hautes solitudes (1974).

Les hautes solitudes is great! Also she looks amazing in Pardo's Home Movie, made on the set of Le Lit de la vierge. So charismatic. Maybe the most charismatic actress I've ever seen.
